I am looking at purchasing some new bicycling shorts, first century ride this year in about a month. I like the Sugoi RS Flex but a bit pricey - but willing to pay for comfort. Wondering what others have worn and their reviews.
Thanks

I have been using my giordana silverlines on centuries lately. Nice and comfy IMHO.

I've tried a few different brands/models and went with Sugoi RS Flex myself. Have ridden a few centuries with them and they are a great short. I agree they are steep if you pay retail, but if you shop around you might find them for much less. I picked up 2 pairs of RS Flex bibs on ebay for $80 each. Last fall campmor.com had the shorts for $45. I just checked, and they only have XXL left (40in waist) and lowered the price to $35. But keep an eye on ebay, I have seen them pop up there from time to time.
My cousin who rides 11k miles per year recommended MEC's Rapide shorts (mec.ca, product #5007-942). I just ordered some and haven't tried them yet, but his opinion would be worth way more than mine anyway.

What he said. THE BEST shorts I've worn in 35 years of cycling. Just make sure not to buy 'em too big. A snug fit is part of what makes 'em work so well.

I was just looking for a new pair of shorts for my first double this weekend. I looked at the Voler Elite shots, a pair of Louis Garneau, and end up getting the Boure Pro (http://www.boure.com/1100.html) shorts.

Thanks for eveyone's input. I went ahead and ordered the RS Flex Shorts. The Assos f1's would be nice but maybe for the next pair as I had to buy a number of other items since it's still cold outside.
