Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Low standover, about 250cc or so, and leans way towards the dirt side. Any ideas? So far I like the street-legal Honda CRF230.
No ideas. Just wanted to post and say that I love the look of supermotards.

But I guess that kinda goes the other way of what you are posting about.

2009 KLX 250S. Used KLR's are good buys if they have low milleage.

I love scramblers... I've got the 1970 version of this bike. But, it had been turned into a chopper sometime in the late 70's or early 80's, poorly fixed up in the 90's and totally customized and modified by myself :) Looks nothing like the original (almost done building).

Looking for a scrambler project bike to bring back to somewhat original condition that can handle lots of miles of dirt roads and exploration.

They've got a pretty tall standover, though. I'm only about 5'6", so I need a lower bike.

Just checked the dealers-looked at a CRF230L, a Yamaha XT250, and a Kawasaki KLX250. The Kawi and Yamaha are out-the Kawi is huge, way too tall for me and sitting on the Yamaha was like a brick-seat was way too wide.
Tomorrow I'm checking out an 07 Suzuki 200 dual purpose. Much cheaper and I like the dealer better. If it fits and I like it, that'll be it.

Okay, I like the Suzuki. Only gripe is the blue seat with yellow plastics, but I can recover that.
