I'm not from Jersey, Im from Long Island, but Im looking for some good intermediate to advanced single track type riding in northern jersey. If anyone knows any places not far from NYC I'd appreciate the input. I live only 20 minutes from NYC so a short ride into jersey would be a nice 1 day trip for me.

I don't mountain bike much, but here's the authoritative NJ MTB website. Closest to you would probably be Ramapo Mountain.

thanks for that link, they have a great trail directory.
Ringwood St Park would also fit the bill, they are somewhat connected to the Ramapo mtns via some nice intermediate trails. ramapo reservation though is offlimits so a map is a nice thing to have..
