Many of you may know the old Ti Cycles bike shop located on the Burke-Gilman trail just north of U-Village, which closed several months ago. I'd heard that it was going to be reopened by the folks who run Counterbalance Bicycles in Queen Ann, and when I rode by today -- sure enough -- it was open (apparently just opened 3 weeks ago).

They've nicely remodeled the place and restocked w/inventory. They seem like nice people and mentioned they're going to open at 7:30 in the mornings for commuters (I guess those of you who commute on the BG already know that).

They had Surly, Masi, Soma, Salsa, Breezer and Jamis bikes when I was there. They mentioned they are going to get in some more high-end bikes as well before long -- Co-Motion, De Salvo and Indendent Fabrication (I think).

Just thought I'd mention (I have no connection w/the shop).

Hopefully they won't be charging 3 bucks for a Powerbar like the old shop. No wonder the place went out of biz.

Cool. I actually met the old owner of Ti Cycles at the bike swap in Magnuson Park - he seemed disgruntled when I asked him about the store.
