Oh no, I rather like this idea. It's got to be better than the normal turducken thing, because it's chocolate :) .

I like this alternate version:

"Peeps are disgusting. However, mini marshmallows should serve as the stuffing where peeps can’t get for sure. However, I would modify it thusly: Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs stuffed in a slightly larger hollow chocolate egg, with a melty mixture of marshmallow and graham cracker crumbs stuffed inside a large hollow bunny."

Yeah, it's wet here, too. <shrugs> Such is springtime life in the PNW... There will be a potluck picnic after the ride. I'll just put the scones in a Ziplock bag.

YYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. IT"S EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I celebrated by going for my first bike ride of spring. Yup. 28 degress and blowing like no other. 18 miles. My butt was completely frozen and I had ice on the mouth cover of my balaclava. Much fun. I look forward to doing it again tomorrow. :D

For non-Christians Easter is about rabbits because it was a celebration of new life in the spring, and rabbits are very fecunditous. Christians early adopted the egg as a symbol of Christ's resurrection from the dead. Just as a live chick comes out of a dead shell, so Christ came live out of the tomb after the crucifixion. It means new life, but not in the sense of fertility and renewed life out of the earth. Rather, it means new life because the resurrection means the destruction of the power of sin and the promise of eternal life with God. Whereas the word 'Easter' originally referred to springtime, Christians prefer to call it the Festival of the Resurrection, but do often refer to it as Easter.
