I just got back from a ride and now she's taking me out for another... wait, how is that a present?

Edit: At least this one will be easier. The one earlier today had Aaron Olson on it and we were doing 35mph until I couldn't hold on anymore and fell off :(

Oh, I enjoy rides with her. I'm just not sure my legs want to move again. This morning wasn't just a hammerfest, it was a slaughterfest (http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/5227044). At least 4 pros and I knew when Aaron showed up it was going to be fast. When we were going 30 and he flew up the side to go the front and pull I knew I was on borrowed time :p

Don't let him fool ya. He loves riding with me. I make him work extra hard on the hills. (I go so slow, he has to work just to not fall over)

We rode downtown to Beachbreak Cafe, but it was closed so we went to Sambos for lunch. Then we rode out to Montecito, up to Mountain Drive, and back on foothill. Kim had a few incidents, but it was a fun ride and I got some good recovery in, feeling much better now than before. I spent about an hour each in Z1 & Z2, 5 min in Z3, and 45s in Z4 for an avg HR of 102, and a max of 158, compared to 138 earlier and 145 yesterday.

I tried to take a picture of us together, this is the best I could do... More pictures soon

He wasn't really excited about going away for his birthday weekend, so his coach advised him to get some long training rides in instead.

I don't normally ride on "the beachway" because there are too many peds, pets, kids, surrys, and morons, but it was fun to just doodle along, especially right after lunch.

I was signed up to do Copperopolis. Wasn't really "feeling it", and didn't want to do the 12 hour drive, so I was thinking about doing Del Mar and Ontario in its pace. I didn't really want to do that either, but thought I should race. My friend/teammate/mentor/coach recommended that I skip stay home and get some good hard training rides in instead of taking all weekend for two short crits. Hard they were... my legs are fried...

umd. it was crowded. Yes. But, then my passing thru the Santa Barbara area was part of a bike trip from San Francisco to LA. After that distance a few peds in the way was ok. Enjoyed again seeing a part of that great central California scenery. Happy Birthday.
