I used that book for trips from San Fran through the Carmel area and from LA to San Diego. The authors obvious distaste for LA aside, it was a big help.

LOL...I told George that I'd take a huge mileage day on our last day since there's nothing in LA I want to see anyway. :p

I *think* we're going to take the train to San Jose, then head to the coast from there. Maybe after a day of torture with Big Sean, exploring the hills and mountains up there. :) We'll see. We still have to nail down how many days we're planning on.
