MS Flight Simulator 2004 running on Vista (Dell XPS M1330) crashes often (usually the OS just reboots, or occasionally I get a frozen program).

I am wondering if any of you guys use X-Plane on Mac and have any problems and what Mac hardware you're using?

There are two obvious reasons why Flight simulator does not run well. I have conveniently pointed out your errors.

Error 1:

running on Vista
Error 2:

Dell XPS M1330

Sorry. I can't help myself when it comes to Windoze/Vista/Dell bashing opportunities arrive. I am curious as to why you are even bothering with Windoze if you have a Mac. (I'm interpreting your post. Correct me if I'm wrong.)

I was running FS04 on Vista on M1330 just fine (in fact it worked great) - then I done a Windows update and it seems funky since then.
I dont have a Mac, I was just considering getting one hence would find opinions of X-Plane on Mac.

sounds like it may be overheating...

make sure you have the latest drivers and updates for your devices. do you have vista service pack 1 installed yet?

Maybe its crashing because of pilot error.

Do you have a friend who could loan a box for an hour to test? See if it works on XP or another Vista machine.

Yesterday I played it and NO CRASH. (I guess it was a short flight).

Go to flightsim.com (http://www.flightsim.com), they will have plenty of information for your problems with Vista and FS2004.
