How well do white rims hold their colour? I see all these whites frame and figure they can't stay looking nice for very long but what about white rims, I was thinking white aeroheads really.

Thx

If you're going for white rims, make sure to make it an arrow spoke

Or a deep v (this suggestion is serious).

this is at about 2 months of heavy riding. no cleaning. still pops:

saw an all-white V with a year of riding (friends bike), looked about as good as the day it was mounted.

Actually I have a question about this.. If I were to mount a front brake, would it blacken the hell out of my white rim? I've got Deep Vs.
That's an absolutely beautiful bike by the way...

.

If you have the unmachined ones, Yes. I have that going on right now, but it doesn't really look all that bad, and eventually it'll just wear down to the metal.

That be a guard to keep the top tube from getting digged up by the bars should they ever swing around that far ...and I'm should they do. I'm I right?

This is a good thread for me to ask about white tires. Any decent ones available in the US? I've only seen the Vittoria Zaffiro and the Gran Compe SS, and they're supposedly only available in Japan.

They stay pretty clean right? I would imagine that they wouldn't really get "stained." Even my white messenger bags stay pretty clean.

The tread gets grey after riding. I have one on the front right now. Its not that big of a deal.
You can get the DiaCompes in America now. http://www.thebikebiz.com/Gran_Compe_SS_Tire_p/cmp-tir-dia01.htm
Or you can email Toshi at BlueLug in Tokyo for a little better price even after shipping from Japan. http://blogged.jugem.jp/

This bike would benefit from a seatpost swap.
