Anyone else read this? I picked it up this week and I was so dissapointed with it :(

The first one- Its not about the bike.. now that was a good read. I think that they could have done with out this one.

I read it the other week and thought it was okay, but very superficial. No great revelations or deep insights, and no real charm.

I agree.. although I enjoyed it... it wasn;t as good as the first one... some insight into his life, and what he is going thru, racing, amrriage, etc... but no real revelations

Thanks for the review.

I loved the first book, but I have not read the second one yet. To be quite honest, I am sick of "Lance this" and "Lance that." I love to watch him climb up the Tourmalet, but that's about it.

I think I'll pass on this book.

I was treated for cancer this spring and a friend sent me the first book. I'm just a casual cyclist but I could relate to the rest big time. So I bought three copies of the new one and it was sorta disappointing. Reading about the 03 TDF was kinda interesting. I did like the phrase "are you ridin' or are you hidin'"

there were some good spots in the 2nd one, I wish he would have done more on the races and a bit more in depth.. I did like the 03 summmary stuff too.

By the way Chevy I hope things are going well for you!!

I agree the book was not very good. It has some good parts but over all I am disapointed with it. The first book had many pages about his battle with cancer. I was thinking this book would be more about racing and what it's like to race at that level. Oh well, I suppose if he puts out another one I would reconsider spending the money. :(
