Soup everyone.

I've pretty much toasted my big ring from smashing it into crap, and I've bent my rear disc doing a poor side-hop.

So, two things. One is that I need a chain/bash guard. I've been looking at some offerings from FSA and RaceFace, but I'm not exactly sure on what I want. I'd like it to have small, back facing teeth, be made of aluminum or steel, and (preferably) not replace my big ring. If it has to, my big ring is 44T.

Second is that I need to change my rear disc. I upgraded to J-Carbons from my 3's a while ago. I bought my rear carbon as 160mm, but never changed the disc out. Would the Carbon's adapter thing-a-ma-jig be for a 160mm (hopefully...)?

Thanks.

Based on the title, I thought you injured a furry forest dweller.

Me too, reading the post was quite disappointing after all of that mental build up.

Speaking of which, the other day I was cruising to class on my squishy bike and I ran over a ground squirrel. Luckily I reacted quickly enough when he darted out and kind of unweighted so I only heard a little ping as I went over him. He was still running when I looked back; hope the little bugger's okay.

When I was a kid, a squirrel ran straight into the side of my tire. It bounced off and I think left both of us equally startled.
