Im thinking like $1200 because the new ones will be $2k with less chrome.
Thoughts?

try 700 and people might bite. The new ones probably won't be over 1200. there is a point when people will go custom because it is a)more cost effective and b) a better bike. People don't want to pay more than 1200 for a frame unless it is custom, a collectors item, or super high-tech.

They can go for a boatload on eBay. There is a guy who has some in Brooklyn and he was hitting $2000 for them a few months ago but they were quite old. I don't really think they are worth that but you know how eBay is....you just mention "Cinelli" and "SLX" in the listing and it gets nuts. I will see if I can track down his seller name...
edit: now that I can see your photos, the guy in Brooklyn was selling older Cinelli frames, likely from the '80s. Anywho, here is one of his auctions for a similar frame to yours and it ended at $1230 with BIN. It may have gone for more as there were 5 bids before the BIN was taken: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120225774738
Check out his feedback and you can see that he sold the ones I mentioned for a lot of cash, one hit $3100, if I recall correctly.

Fixed it for you.
Naw, but seriously, I was watching a few around my size on eBay earlier this month, and the one priced under 1000 sold, while the few others (all over 1k) didn't go anywhere. That's just what I've observed!
Craigslist works pretty differently, though; I mean, offer whatever price you want, just make it clear that you will accept offers lower than what you're asking if you don't sell it for what you hoped to get.
That said, I'd take out a hell of a student loan for one of those in my size. Juuust sayin'. :)

I figured I probably wouldnt get alot of interest if it wasnt an "at a steal" price. Do you think it will lose value when the new ones are out on the market...as in should I sell it now or wait in hopes that it;s value sky rockets.

ebay is for chumps
So is craigslist.
I've always wanted one of those frames, Fire red with the chrome rear triangle, but there is no way I will be able to afford one anytime soon.
