Missed that at first.
I wouldn't want to drive a Ferarri or a six digit sports car in Austin. Too high a chance that some drunk would plow into it and when I ask for his insurance, he thinks AAA is something for really bad alcoholics.
I find it ironic... isn't Chicago trying to do an image of going green?

Funny you mention it. I took this on a way to a party. At the party i met a young, attractive lobbyist who works in Washington. She was discussing how much she loved Chicago but was saying how there was no work for someone in her business.
Later that night my girlfriend and i were taking a cab home and we were talking about it. I was half-joking about how a lobbyist fits right into chicago politics when, to my surprise, the cabby chuckled and added to the conversation (turns out he has a masters in political science). The point is that Chicago politics is a bit of a joke. I almost think we take pride in our political corruption, then again, i'm not technically a chicago resident paying chicago taxes ;). In Chicago (as in most cities, i suspect), money talks. This little snap shot is the personification of that

I watched this guy drive along the footpath / bikeway to park here. Yes we have some wide footpaths on some streets. (Oike Dori for those who know the area)

And regarding the OP, a boastful license plate, to boot.
Technically within city limits here - it is illegal to ride a bicycle on the sidewalk - translates to how to take out a pedestrian or two. They tried to reinforce it last year - at least in front of my building - cop even yelled at me as I half rode over to talk with him. So now they're back to not reinforcing it.
is the second person up pushing a bike?? Breaking the law??? The horror, the horror...

Nah, this bike was never on the cover of a magazine, it was put together by little ole me :o my dad painted it and I slapped it all together, I picked up the Ferarri decals in a Ferarri shop while I was in Vegas :D its just a bunch of different bike parts all rolled into one! I rigged up some decent air horns on it (not pictured) and I plan on updating the saddle to a nice Brooks some time soon as I tend to ride this bike a lot during the summer and the saddle thats on it is VERY uncomfortable. Thanks for the kind words by the way =)
A superior took me for a ride in his then brand new ferrari 360 f1, can't say I wouldn't want to own one one day. The sound was absolutely ridiculous going through narrow city streets in 1st.
Sports car, sport bike, fancy colnago, why not?

Would THIS be YOUR garage?
Oh god I wish... right now I've got a litespeed, specialized stumpjumper, my gf's 2 specialized, and a dodge stratus. Oh wait, my track bike's in the kitchen too.
Someday I'd like to put a little prancing horse in there.
While the logos on that Look are awful (especially when paired with the delabeled Zipps), the flat bar with foam grips is just... ergh.

Plus the angle makes it look like the LOOK has handlebars for a saddle and the bike behind it has a saddle for steering. :p

and, it has a bike rack.

Agreed, have a friend that owned a few Ferraris over the years. The sound of a Ferrari V-8 at full throttle is an incredible thing. I loved driving that car. Here is one of his after it was converted to a speed record car at Bonneville. My friend is the one who "provided" the crashed 308.

yeah, the old 328, 308, and 228's were, IMO, quite beautiful cars. But the old Berlinetta Boxer is the most beautiful of the 1980's Ferraris.
Would love to have one of those.

Nothing limited about ferrari bikes here in Japan. ;) Colnago has been putting them out for a number of years now. In fact they are produced as road, mtb, cyclcross and kids bikes. Just another mass produced bike IMO. :)
