Happy Birthday.
May your year will be full of happy doubles.
Happy birthday Rick. And what do you get for your birthday??? You get to ride a double :D :D
:bday::bday:
Happy Birthday Rick!!!!
What a way to celebrate your birthday, a little 200 mile ride this weekend.
Thanks for the Birthday wishes everyone!
Yes, the Solvang Double will be a great way to celebrate my birthday. I'm 58, so already an "old guy." When I get to 60 I'll be a Really Old Guy.
Until then, or maybe even after then, I'll keep riding doubles!

Happy birthday, Rick. May you have lots of tailwinds on your double.
Have fun on your special day!
Happy birthday, Rick. May you have lots of tailwinds on your double.
Thanks John,
The normal program is to have headwinds after the first checkpoint, and these carry on pretty much all the way to Morrow Bay. From that point on, we have (mostly) tail winds.
Of course, as you know, just because that's the way the winds "usually" are, is no guarentee that they will be that way on the day of the double. Still, knowing that they may change at the turn-around is always good for the motivation!

Crap, I think you just had your birthday the other day. :D Have a great one Rick!

No Beanz,
I have the same old Calfee, but I did get a new Ultegra SL Triple Crankset for it (30-39-52), some wool cycling socks and a Lance Tour de France DVD set . . . so it's all good!
I'll need that triple for Mulholland Double, but I hope to have it installed in time for the Solvang Double this weekend.
Still time for you to sign up for your first double!

Watch it:rolleyes:
Yeah, but Bob, when I get to be Really Old, then I'll be able to climb as good as you (maybe, someday)! So it will all be worth it.
Hopefully too, when I do get to 60, I'll be saying "It's all uphill from here!"
