Commuting - 35F, what a ride, just what I've been waiting for.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I know that I am preaching to the chior here, but as I rolled past the bank and it flashed 1:25am, and 35 degrees F, halfway through my commute home, I just had to think of how grateful I was to even be able to do this thing called ride a bike. It comes on the heels of a tough week for me, I had two friends loose their mother's this week, and my POS car died.
So I am thinking of once again going carless. There are offers to sell me anothe POS, but I may turn them down. I really want to try this.

I've been carless for more years than I can remember. I ride year round and wouldn't want it any other way. When I start feeling as though I'd like to renew the old license again and complain about my old age aches and pains, I look around me and realize how incredibly lucky I am. I work for a medical supplier who sells respartory products and I have a calendar on the wall of babies, toddlers, and youths on ventillators. The pictures seem sad till you realize they're all smiling and happy only because they just don't know things could have been different and they could've been riding in 35F weather. So I'll go on pounding pedals and logging miles because I'm lucky enough to be able to, BECAUSE I CAN !!!
