Wouldn't you be able to guestimate based on Cannondale's website?
http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/archive/

C'dales normally have model #'s as decals on the frame, R1000, Caad8, Caad3, etc., and paint schemes; should help in locating the year. :)

Thanks it is a SR500 white model so is this worth investing say $200 and ride it? Is this a frame worth saving with its Shimano 105 parts it is in 8/9 condition out of 10.

That's old. My friend had the white one when I got my first road bike. Take off the biopace chainrings and put round ones on.

That looks like it's in really good condition. I'd totally ride that thing.

Ya that's why I ask is it worth spending a few hundred to get it in top riding shape and enjoy it for awhile? Heck if I like it I may even change the wheels. It is in absolutely great condition the entire bike has maybe 5 little scratched on it from leaning it on things and looks like it has never been down. I paid nothing for it so its not like I paid for it and want to spend more on it.
What do you all think?

If the brakes stop the bike, and it shifts correctly, slap your pedals on and ride. It looks rideable now. I wouldn't really change anything but the pedals, unless it needs new cables or something, but that's like $20.

I hope my post didn't sound negative. I'd rock it. I'm a huge Cannondale fan. I remember when my friend had the one like yours, they were so innovative that everyone thought they were kind of wierd.
