Gearing up for Ride Leading Season

I've been getting my group of 65+ riders together for the coming season.

This year my wife will be riding with the "Biking Babes" (a very relaxed group) on Tuesday, so I have decided that on Tuesdays I will not "lead" a ride, but instead will go with a few 65+ biking buddies for longer and faster-paced "just rides," that I wouldn't do with my wife.

On Mondays, I will lead "easy" rides for more beginning folks, and more experienced folks who want a relaxed ride. 10-20 milers.

I think the oldest rider will be about 80 years old.

Anyone else planning on leading rides?

I lead a Friday club ride year round:) Of course that depends on the weather. It must be above 25F and dry. I don't mind riding in the rain during warmer weather but I refuse to get wet when it's near freezing.

The "Bike for the Health of It" park program starts next month and I'll be riding with that program again this year as a member of the park volunteer patrol group. These are 10-20 mile rides on the local paved trails. They're geared toward the casual rider, beginners and families that want to become familiar with the local trails, learn bike safety and also simple maintenance for their bikes. There are usually 50-80 riders each week. We do this ride rain or shine but the attendance falls into the 10-20 range when it's raining. We have a few who don't mind riding in the rain:)
