I recently obtained an unusual-looking MTB from a customer at my shop - it's a Delta V full-suspension, I'm guessing an early nineties model. Up until now I have only seen them as hardtails. The bike is in "ok" condition and appears to be all original with an XT drivetrain and tons of Ritchey Logic stuff. The headshok holds air and everything works reasonably well for its age... to be honest it rides like **** - but I'm guessing that's to be expected of an early long-as-a-freight-train fs bike.

Is there any desire for this rig on ebay? If I'm only going to get a couple hundred for it I'd just as soon keep it as a curio, but I don't know enough about it to even guess.

Any advice?

curio. It's not a very rare bike. The antiquated suspension design would not make a good off roader. Bobing suspension and weight keep it from being a very nice commuter. There are quite a few super - v's on ebay right now. I am pretty sure the super v is newer than the delta v: http://tinyurl.com/238jjc

A hardtail cannondale from that era with a headtube headshock to 1 1/8 converter and a decent xc fork would make a better off road bike imho.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to throw it on ebay. I am sure there is someone out there looking for one. They are werid/cool looking bikes.
