All in fun. This happened to me Monday taking the back way home from work:

Me? I wondered. I shook my head 'No'. Crossing guard got very excited lifted a leg and waved more madly at me so I pulled to the left of the line of cars and went forward all the while she was waving me thru. As I crossed and passed she cheerfully said to me: "It's a pedestrian crossing!" and some other words about not waiting.

So yeah, I got waved to the front of a line, thru a stop sign to get on the MUP.

So what was the rest of the MUP ride like?

So what was the rest of the MUP ride like?

It's just a short 1/4mi section that goes thru the park/playground, then over a freeway on this bridge, then back to a road.

That day it was empty of anyone else.

I was quite amused for different reasons about this. Firstly that she even noticed me coming and lining up behind the trucks considering all those kids walking/riding in every direction at the intersection itself. Then how she got so excited to focus on just me to wave me forward and then so cheerfully telling me its a pedestrian crossing- you can't hear it in the video, but she was very enthusiastic about it all. Imagine some one saying while smiling "It's a PEDESTRIAN crossing" in a sing song chirpy voice with strong upper register emphasis on 'pedestrian'.
