Bicycle Mechanics - Can anyone tell me about this bike??

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

It is a Hercules Nepal. All of the stickers are in German. I did find a German web site for Hercules that has Nepals but that all have fenders and racks etc... Mine looks similar (the color and style of the decals and look of the frame) but is missing the fenders and rack. I supose they could have been removed at some point in time. It looks and rides great. It looks like it has Woods valves. (I just found out about different valves yesterday.)

Raleigh used to produce bikes under the Hercules name in the UK. Most of the ones I see seem to be blue or bronze shoppers but I expect they produced others.

I was wondering if someone knew it they were good quality bikes. I bought the bike used and it seems to be high quality but I don't know much about good bikes.
