How do you do this? I forget. I've got a time listed at 13:53:05 pst. What time is this?

Subtract 12 hours .....

13:53:05 would be 1:53:05 PM

So if 1:53 is pst (that's pacific standard time, right?), that means the eastern time would be 4:53, right?

Ah military time, or as I like to call it error proof time, we use it in the shipping industry and have for ever, and I am a proponent og making it the way to keep time. No errors on whether that was 7A or 7P. And as Ba-D-Ger said to convert is easy just add 12 to convert to military and subtract 12 to convert back. All my time pieces run on the 24hr clock.

24 hour time is great for people like me who work at night all the time. In winter here, it's dark at 6am and at 6pm. Things can get really weird at times.
