...and it was damn hilly at that. It was a group ride that was supposed to be 75 miles. SOmeone made a big mistake calculating miles. Myself and another guy split off to go a faster pace and went a slightly different route than the others. I ended up doing a full century out of the deal. Wasn't planning on finishing one this soon, let alone one that was this hilly. We rode starting in Chester County PA to Mount Pisgah in York County, PA. I definitely think I'll be ready for www.emsbikeride.org in 2004 at this pace. I guess now I'll have to make sure I get 100 miles in each week and eventually more than once per week. My best bet is the last 2 days I'm off out of my 4 and doing it back to back.

Today I'm definitely sore and cramped. I'm getting ready to put the bike on the trainer and do a recovery spin while watching Daredevil.

Congrats on the suprise century! Some of my favorite rides are the ones that we don't plan, or ones that we do plan, but screw up! :)

I agree. Some of my very best rides have been when I coast down my driveway and at the last moment decide to go ....that-a-way. :D
