if I were to bike from orange county down to San diego... What route would you guys reccomand... Anything down PCH?

For a shorter ride (than 160 miles), I'd definitely go through Pendleton. We took the I5 just to save some time since we had a train to catch.

If you need directions on getting through Pendleton, they're pretty available. If you can't find anything, let me know and I can dig it up.

Where in OC are you coming from? I have done the Anaheim to Solana Beach run a few times now, and go down the Santa Ana River Trail to PCH and through Laguna Beach. A friend of mine put together a map and route slip here (http://sdbikeroutes.blogspot.com/2007/12/80-mile-train-ride.html).

PCH is a good ride but I often avoid it by heading down Moulton until it turns into Golden Lantern. From there I pick up the path through Dana Point, the Bike Route through San Clemente, the path through San Onofre, and then head through the base.

depends on how I'm feeling after Breathless. But since it's largely along the coast, this is actually a good June ride.

im asking about may as ill be done with this job and will need something like that to prep for ES...just sayin'
