i was wondering is there any mod to make my throttle more sensitive, so i dont need to twist the grip a full clock revolution just to hit full speed? im just now finding it irritating.

its not a potted grip its a Hall Effect.

thanks

I'm sure there's some way to change the "taper" of the hall signal but it's not gonna be easy/simple IMO. This why I always like thumb throttles for my LEV's.

ya looks like ill be trying the thumb throttle, theres not much on the net for moding it. only thing i can find is a mod to slow the motor down by adding a resister to the red wire, thats about it.

thanks

I *think* ebikes.ca has a short travel throttle. Or, for the ultimate, just replace the throttle with a momentary switch. :)

if it's simply a matter of holding the throttle open for long periods of time you might investigate something like this for motorcycles - http://www.lockitt.com/AccessoriesOther.htm

throttle rocker is clever way to hold throttle open with basically your hand. could easily form something with mild steel/alloy to fit your eBike grip to test the principle.

coming from a motorcycle background I always assumed I would prefer twist throttles on my LEV's. turns out I was wrong - if there's a choice I'd go for thumb throttle any day. one of those weird things that you never know until you try...
