They are going to show something fixed gear related in a few minutes.

Looks like it's going to be a story on Taylor Phinney. Davis Phinney is one of the best American racers of all time. When him and Connie Carpenter had a son, you knew he was going to be a monster.

I think he's after the gold in the Pursuit events.

If Taylor Phinney doesn't become one of the greatest cyclists of his era, I'll eat my hat.

Just watched it. You made it sound like they were doing a story on the fixed gear scene. Not that the story I watched was terrible in any way.

I said fixed gear related. I was tuned out and caught a glimpse of a track bike before they went to commercials.
Would be cool to see a story on the fixed scene.

I'd much rather watch a story on Davis and Taylor Phinney than a bunch of dudes riding backwards circles on their Kilo TTs or whatever a story on the "fixed gear scene" would entail.

Exactly. The kid is 17 now, and he already has a junior road world title under his belt, and possibly some Olympic medals coming his way. He's going to tear up professional cycling in a few years. I wouldn't be surprised to see him win a tour before he's 25.

egh, he might not be that kind of a rider. He's pretty big, so maybe classics or a TT specialist, or just stay with track. Either way, he's certainly got the talent to dominate the field of his choosing once he gets some more experience.

Did you see any chicks that weren't ugly? Sporting females aren't good looking. Never. Unless they row in the lightweight category and/or are Swedish.

edit: or their name has to be Liz hatch
