Would bike handling be an important consideration for this soiree?

Chucklehead

bike handling is important anytime you're riding with other folks, but especially in a cat5 race. this is why i think you shoul dgive eldorado a shot. it's not the least bit technical and it's pretty easy to hold onto the bak end of the pack. 1 hour of racing for $10. hard to beat.

I was kinda joking, actually. I was hoping they'd just hook everyone up to a trainer.

Chucklehead

so that means we'll see you out there on tuesday?

Possibly, maybe?
I want to do the Santiago TT on Saturday, I'll have to try and get an "all clear" to race both days.
I should see you guys at Eldo next week :)

I was thinking about doing this too...but it's probably not too smart with my tri seven days after.

You should come up and do "Como" in the morning and then head over to the crit.

Probably a REALLY bad idea. I'm supposed to start my taper after this weekend.

I'm in as long as I'm feeling better before the registration deadline this week. It's a W1234 race so it's a little out of my league. Hopefully all the fast girls will be at Redlands that day. :o

I'm in for Collegiate A's and probably Cat 3 as well.

Hi,

Maybe the Cat 3 race. Rode the 35+ 1-4 race a couple of years ago and got shelled pretty early. Haven't ridden a 3s race in over a year so I guess I'm due. ;)

Depends on how many of my team mates are doing it. If all of them decide to, I'll go out to ride support, if not then I need a weekend off racing. The last 4 weekends have been at least two races per weekend. I need a rest.

Even if I go out I don't think I'm going to be going for it, I'll ride support, cover attacks, blocking, set up the final sprint, etc. All the stuff they've been doing for me for the past few races.

So what do they do during this time of the year?

Chucklehead
03-29-08, 12:09 AM
train.

don't get me wrong - there are several who race. i had three teammates at ontario and four at del mar, but that was the first time this year, and i probably won't be seeing much of them outside of weekend training rides.

Will you join up with them again next year?

probably. they're right down the street and everyoen is very nice. plus, the fact that only a few of us race regularly means you get reimbursed whether you place or not. and the team kit is cool.

If you consider Mission Viejo to be right down the street, most people are very nice, and a bunch of people submit for reimbursements, it sounds just like Velosport.

but they don't have the cool kits.
