Bicycle Mechanics - Well these brake hoods fit on these brake levers

Will these brake hoods (http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/BL408Z03-Cane+Creek+Hoods+For+Scr-5+Levers.aspx) fit on these brake levers (http://www.velo-orange.com/tebrler2r1.html).

I want tan brake hoods to match my honey colored Brooks. The Tektro's don't come in tan.

Rumor has it that the brake is the same exact model. I would say they probably do. Are you finding those levers comfortable? People say the hoods are very comfy.

They don't look like a good match. The brake levers you show have a quick release button in the lever body and their hoods have a relief for the button. The other hoods appear shaped different enough not to fit right.

Can you take you bike to an LBS and see what they have in stock? Maybe you get lucky.

I'll agree with Sore on this one. I'm pretty sure they're the exact same lever, just branded differently.

I use a set of those and they are very comfortable.

Hillrider, in the first link the hoods are only the black part, everything else in grey is the plastic of the brake lever itself. You can see a similar config on the Tektro levers.

I agree with the previous posters, they are the same levers. Some say the Tektros don't last as long, but I have a hard time believing there is any difference.

SoreFeet, I find them to be pretty comfortable but I have never really used anything else on a road bike.

The Tektro's are great on drop bars, but on moustache bars, old Shimano non-aero's are the best.

I dunno, at least from the pictures they look like they are the same lever to me other than one has the ribbing and says Cane Creek on the hood. Is this button you're talking about on the other side of the lever?

I'm looking at the Cane Creeks and comparing them to the Tektros that are on my bike parked 5 feet away, and they look the same except for the color of the button and the pattern etched on the Cane Creek hoods. The button actually goes through the lever. It's on either side, depending on if you have the quick release out or not.

OK, I'm overruled :) I didn't notice the qr button on both lever sets and mistook part of the lever body for being part of the hood.

Actually, in my first posting I was going to suggest buying the hoods anyway as $11 isn't that much to risk but I didn't since it wasn't my money.

The only difference I heard(from Cane Creek)is better hardware, stainless springs.
