Has anyone heard of this company (http://osobike.com/) before? I am looking to get a new bike, preferably single speed, and I stumbled across their site.
I know I want a steel frame (check) but I would like to see what more learned bikers on this forum have to say. According to the "about" page (http://osobike.com/about%20us.html): "The frame for the bike is built by a leading frame manufacturing company renowned for their steel frames who produce frames for many major bicycle companies."
So has anyone seen these? Ridden one? Spots anything pro/con in the images?
Thanks in advance.

Looks pretty damn sketchy actually. Very "informercial" type feel to it.

This does sound very much like an infomercial. I hate to say it, but this things smells like a fad bike. The parts listing that he has is based on his personal preference more than the feedback from other people. I kept hearing, "I chose this because I liked it."

Burritogod,
First of all I like your screen name as I eat a lot of burritos living in Laredo TX, which is on the border with Mexico. I can understand you being skeptical, as I would be if I were in your shoes. Its kind of hard to be sure about a bike without acutually riding it. And not a lot of people have ridden the Osobike to date since there is only one of them at present. I am hoping that you will take my word that I am an honest person and that from my viewpoint the Osobike is a good deal. You are basically getting a dealer price while being a retail customer. No I don't know everything about bikes, but there are some pretty knowledgable and expierienced people working on this project. If you have some doubts why don't you call me or email me? My cell phone is right there on the website. It goes directly to me, not to a secretary. That's because I stand behind what I am trying to sell.

Dlandis,
I don't understand why you would say that. I am trying very hard to get this project off the ground. Then people come along and make these negative comments that don't really mean anything. Just so you know the website was made by me. It took over 100 hours and is the first time I have made a real website without a template.
Flyingcadet,
When I designed the bike I worked closely with some professonals who have many years experience building bikes. What do you mean by "fad bike". I would prefer to call it a possible 'limited editition". If only this one wholesale order of 120 bikes is produced, and you buy one, you will be one of the only 120 people in the world with an Osobike. So maybe your bike would turn into a collectors item. On the other hand, if sales take off, then that's another story. I'm hoping for the later.
At any rate, thank you all for looking at the Osobike. And be sure to call me, email me or fill out a preorder form so I can keep you posted.
