Thats the trouble with track Cyclists- they are round the bend half the time in any case- And if you had seen the Madison- you would have seen them in their full glory. Complete Nutters- the lot of them.

On the link page there are Videos of the Events- Except for the madison But I have that on CD now. Click on the events to see a rerun but if you only watch one- Watch the Keiran. I know they are cheating- but I always marvelled at the Physique of your American Footballers- But Look at Chris Hoy In the White suit for Muscles.

So watch out- Too much Cycling can cause a weight gain.

The competition is in Manchester. That would be in England, would it not? Homecourt advantage, we would call it, if it were a basketball game.

Should have mentioned it before- The worlds last year in Spain- And England only got 7 golds. Since then- $10,000 have been pumped into Track cycling by way of a lottery grant and it is paying off.

Yep home advantage- with a team that is better than the rest.

So while you're busy ruling do you think you could find a British woman cyclist to picture in your bicycling periodicals? I've counted as many as 17 pictures of Californian Cara Coolbaugh in a single issue of Cycling Plus.

Correction on above----$10 million pumped in.

Thought it looked wrong but we English always underestimate

I've seen the link. When can I expect delivery?

Oh, and don't get me wrong. Miss Haughtbod, er, Coolbaugh, whom Cycling Plus is so fond of photographing, is a excellent athlete, fearless adventurer, fine writer and wonderful addition to the editorial staff. It's just out of 30 million British women, one would think you could come up with at least one fit blonde with good teeth of your own.

OK. I though for 10 thousand they probably bought everybody on the team new tires.

Just as one of my uncles guessed, musing on his own experiences versus Mr. Churchill's estimation that Italy was the "soft underbelly of Europe".

And now it's up to 10 golds. Yes, yes, very nice but: Why have the Indians, Jamaicans, Pakistanis and others left you behind in your very own national game...you know, the one that's an even more boring version of baseball. :p

Cricket is our "National" Game- But if you understand the game at all- Let me in on it. There is some lunatic throwing a hard leather ball at you at 100mph and all you have to defend yourself with is a lump of wood. Seems crazy to me. Give me a game like Rugby where everyone on the opposing side is out to get you- and the rules and enjoyment a lot better.

And we failed on getting the 10. Jenny Reid-An american- got the gold in the Kieran- where we had the last chance of a medal.

Congratulations to a fine British team. They have some real racing talent. What a great place to win, the storied Manchester track.

I am glad that Jennie Reed and Taylor Phinney did a very good job also. Beijing here they come. (Cough)
