Quick Question. I am selling my Mavic Cosmos Wheelset and a possible buyer wants to know if they are Campy compatible. Could anyone tell me if they are? From reading it says that the "sealed cartridge bearings in an HG and M9 compatible freewheel hub set." Does this mean they would work w/ Campy gear? Thanks in advance for the help.

If you didn't have a Campy cassette on there, your freewheel is a Shimano body. This means your potential buyer would need to get one of the conversions cassettes available, such as those found here:

Another option would be to purchase a Campy freehub body for your wheels.

Hi guys,

The Cosmos comes with a Shimano pattern freewheel. One way to convert to Campag: you pull the sprockets off (they come off individually) take out a spacer, change the spacers between sprockets to Campag size ones, put it all back together, and you then have Campag spacing with the original sprockets. Hope this helps.

cheers,
