Hi,

As I approach my 55th birthday, I thought it was time for a lifestyle change. I started running again, improved my diet and lost 18 pounds in about 5 weeks. I also thought it was time to get back on a bike after 28 years, so I'm finishing up my research and will likely buy my road bike next week. I'm leaning toward looking a Giant OCR and will be comparing the aluminum and alliance frame models. After reading a few of the posts on the forum, I realize I really have a lot to learn, but figured that this was a good place to start.

Hi Sudden, yes, this is a good place to start :D . The worst part of BikeForums is that there is so much of interest here, that it's possible to forget to go out for a ride  !

Just joking...

One last thing...you are hardly 'old' at age 55! Besides, we like to think young here :) .

Welcome to BF!
