... sorry to report, but I went down today. Nothing broken, just very sore on my butt. I was going downhill, and I didn't cut the corner sharp enough, and I could tell I would go down. It was one of those descents where the bank is in the reverse direction.

Bike is okay. Just need to replace one of the spokes on my rear, but since I'm on-call next weekend, I'm not going to be riding anyways. The bike is fine ... the butt is a little sore.

Hate those negative slope curves, glad you're ok.

Not good. ...but good to hear you're ok.
Also good thing it's only a broken spoke and not something more serious like a scraped lever.

Ouch. Happy to hear that it's not more serious...

Yow...glad to hear you are okay. If you didn't spill any blood, then you are in good shape!

No blood. Just very sore butt. Going to take a week off of the bike. Maybe catch up on my movies.

Glad to hear you are okay Ron. I had a bad feeling about the conditions today, which is why I didnt want to continue on. Alan slipped a bit in a corner when we were decending OLH and we were going slow. Fog drizzle makes it very dangerous up there.

Sorry, Ron. :( Although, you being okay (and the bike :p) is good news.

The butt will heal...but for now RIP butt. :D

I'm convinced, there is a curse on us. I guess it's one way to get me off the bike, and rest. Not sure if doubles are in my future this year.

You're not going to ride doubles this year because your butt is a little sore?

Ron, now I've heard some lame excuses, but that one takes the cake (and I may borrow it). :p

Glad you're ok. Recover quickly, get the wheel fixed then go out and ride the weekend after. :)

glad you're okay Ron!!!!! Where were you riding?

Palo Alto. We were descending Altamont, which has a tricky turn. I didn't negotiate it properly.

Ron! You are downplaying your injuries...

If your helmet was cracked apart like that, you went down hard on your head...:(

Seems like you are lucky. How are you feeling now?

Your riding skilz probably saved you from getting hurt worse.

That sucks, Ron, hopefully you've gotten yours out of the way without it being too bad.
