Hi All,

I have recently started a blog devoted to real-world cyclists. It is called "Cycloculture," and you can see it at www.cycloculture.com.

I just posted an interview with Allan Wanta, king of the budget custom frame.

Yours,

Forbes, I've been following along with your progress on the blog and applaud your efforts! Three excellent interviews and a darn good article about buying on Craigslist. A nice balance of new and old, high end and not so much.
Keep up the good work. I'll need to redo my password to comment at the blog...that's a cumbersome process, commenting...otherwise a very enjoyable read.

Thanks! It's been a fun project. I'm waiting for responses from a bunch more folks. With luck, I should be able to get another interview up this weekend.

Hi All,

I just posted an interview with David Herlihy, author of the book, Bicycle: The History. If you are interested, check it out at:

Thanks!

Oh no, another book I have to have. Soon I'll have no place to sit.

Nice interview.:)

I've always loved Surlys. I just wish they would make a 68cm road frame...

Despite the fact that they refuse (very politely) to make a really large frame, I have also always enjoyed talking to their marketing manager, Andy Corson. So I just interviewed him for Cycloculture:

Forbes,

Really a VERY nice job on your blog -- not too different in feel from what I'm hoping to achieve, although your style and content are, of course, all your own.

I particularly liked Herlihy's powerful statement on the significance of the advent of the safety bike. I hope you don't mind that I cited it on my blog (here (http://velophoria.blogspot.com/2008/06/chain-driven-safety-bicycle-with.html)), with a link to your interview.

Good writing, good interview subjects -- good going! Keep going!

In my latest article, I talk about about the awesome experience of visiting eleven bicycle factories in China. Words do not adequately describe the awe I felt at seeing these colossal manufacturing centers, but I tried to convey some of my thoughts:

Thanks, I did -- and also blogrolled your site!

Keep up the great work. I look forward to the China story.
