Hi group, I just stumbled across this site looking for info to fix a friend's mountainbike. One hour later, I'm joining. Probably happened to many of you.
I am 52 and just started riding again after over 10 years off. Never a serious daily rider, but did do an annual century for 8 or 9 years in a row, and did about 1000 to 1200 miles in the spring and summer leading up to each century in the fall. We would ride from PA to Wildwood(south New Jersey) in a private group of 8 to 20 people. 106 miles in about 8 or 9 hours.

Lately, I bought a used Cannondale R800 with all Shimano 105 components on it and am enjoying short road rides out of necessity. First road bike I really used. I had an old Giant AT750 with Biopace crank and Deore group and knobbie tires to ride the centuries! I spent alot of extra energy. Anyhow, good riding to all.

Hi Remarktel, there are a lot of people who find us in just that manner! We like to think that we are friendly and helpful enough that people keep coming back, too, so don't be afraid to post and say hi :D .

Welcome to BF!
