Just wanted to stop in and say Hi. I just found this site and am looking forward to learning all I can from it. Just for some back ground info, I am 30y/o, from Kentucky (USA), and I ride a really cheap (Walmart brand) Mountain bike to work every day (2.5 miles). I just recently put slicks on there after researching how I can increase my speed and was very surprised and pleased with the results. Anyway, looking forward to meeting all of you.

Hi W, I see you found the regional forum already--excellent! The Walmart bike may be cheap, but at least it got you started. I suspect that you may decided relatively soon to upgrade, even though the slicks make it a lot easier :D . You can't beat riding on a nice road bike.

Welcome to BF!
