I am trying to decide if I want to buy a tandem trike. If anyone has one in or round Youngstown, Cleveland, Pittsburgh area that I could try out or any input regarding different manufactures I would appreciate it. I may be using it for several different people. I am looking for something that wouldn't be too hard to adjust.
Any information would be helpful

I have been researching these for some time. The Greenspeed GTT is perhaps the dominant example of the type. Wiz Wheelz also has a similar vehicle and is actually sold via Greenspeed on their website. Organic Engines has a tandem design that to my eyes does not look as attractive as the Greenspeed or Wiz Wheelz but the twin tube chassis 'may' be stiffer. These doggies aren't trivial purchases as you probably know. I would imagine that most of the tandem trikes on the road are homebuilt. I personally am holding out for a back to back layout trike. For a number of reasons I find this layout superior. Back to back recumbent bikes abound from European homebuilders and there are a couple of production examples, but apart from the semi-custom built back to back ICE X2R (which I don't believe they are taking anymore orders for) I don't know of a production B2B tandem trike. This means I will probably be building my own. Further inspiration is provided by the knowledge that I cannot consider a $6K tandem purchase as a fiscally responsible thing to do. Speaking of which, if I did own one it is very unlikely that I would consider lending it out to someone who didn't already own one and wasn't going to be the sole rider (captain). That's what dealers are for. There won't be many and they won't have much of a selection but someone somewhere in your area will have a GTT that you can try out. Not that I have actually tried to find one myself. FWIW.
