Two of my girl friends called me today to tell me that they heard Lance is now dating Sheryl Crow, last week it was Sandra Bullock and now Sheryl Crow...Is this ever gunna stop?

"America's most eligible postal worker, Lance Armstrong, is apparently squiring around singer Sheryl Crow, not actress Sandra Bullock, as had been previously blabbered. Don't you just hate it when investigative gossip reporters get that sort of stuff wrong? Bullock was mistakenly described as the girlfriend of the five-time Tour de France champ -- who rides for the U.S. Postal Service team -- because both hail from Austin, Texas, and he once gave her a charm bracelet inscribed "You keep my heart racing." But Crow is the true paramour, the New York Post says. "They are trying to keep it very secret because he's going through a very ugly divorce," its source said."
Who cares? :)

Maybe im just jealous...i wish i could have all these girls! =D
I never pictured Sandra Bullock as a homewrecker, so I am relieved to hear that the press got it wrong.
However, I would expect it from Sheryl Crow. I still love her music though.

I thought Sheryl Crow was gay?

She's not gay, she's Metrosexual.

Not content with the incessant attention given to his missing testicle, we now have to know about the goings on of the other one?

Can't get carried away with this one.. While I very much like Sheryl Crow's music, I would not dream of riding across North AMerica with her the way I would Sandra Bullock or Charleze Theron. That was a legit. newspaper report about LA and Bullock feeding one another at Club 66?
I'm glad it's not Sandra Bullock, she drives me crazy, I know she's nice and all but she acts like a total idiot all the time. Anyway Lance is an idiot too for leaving his wife, she was a total hottie.

LMAO!!!!
Anyways, who really cares? It impacts my life about hmmmm let's see 0%.
I also never understood why so many people glamorize Actors/Actresses to me they are just very good liars. They pretend to be someone they are not and portray feelings and emotions they do not have. Sure, they're entertaining, but no need to hold them up on a pedastal. I have more respect for a Firefighter or a Police Officer.

Probably the best decision she has ever made too. Nopw she will be able to settle into a stable lifestyle that will be good for the kids. I don't know anyone who wants to live like a nomad while hauling around three children.
Kristen deserves better than what LA has to offer.
hmph...and I thought Jan Ullrich was the only one that could make Lance eat crow. Go figure!

make Lance eat crow.
Am I the only one who caught the humour in this?
Crow v. Bullock was debated on Pardon The Interruption yesterday.
Who says the mainstream sports media don't care about cycling? Just add a little glitz and sex, et voila!
Am I the only one who caught the humour in this?
Me tooooooo! :D

Sherl Crow was with Kid Rock tonight at the CMAs, but they were nominated for Best vocal event.
Sheryl's music is much overrated, IMHO. I had an advance copy of her first 'breakthrough' release, 'Tuesday Night Music Club', or whatever it was called. Nothing special, pretty pedestrian stuff. I was really surprised when a few months later it generated such an intense buzz, which, unfortunately, hasn't let up, much to my chagrin. Oh well, popular music and popular culture always seems to pander to the lowest common denominator. Too bad Lance doesn't get it; however, if it makes him happy, so be it!

Hollywood celebs is supposed to be America's royalty. Some figures I do admire. WC Fields comes to mind. In spite of Charlie Chaplins flaws, he grieved for the human race and obsessed with its needs. .....He dedicated his life to making life better for us through communicating his ideals........
lThey are supposed to represent all our collective struggles and aspirations..Hollywood glitz. Many have had all the attention cause them to have really screwed up lives. An admiring public destroyed Marilyn Monroe.
Don't think they(Hollywood) deserve any more grief from the 'admiring public' than any other public figure. Be it sports or political.
Certainly business leaders in the last couple years are not to be admired, considering business ethics of late.
Anyone who lives in a fish bowl will disappoint the admiring public. Maybe the celebrities are not to be blamed so much.Maybe our gauking/stalking them and not giving them their space , like we did John F. Kennedy Jr. is their unmaking.
I think it says lots for the sport of cycling that Lance Armstrongs' accomplishments puts him in league with our screwed up celeb culture. Hope he controls that status well and not let it consume him..

Yep I agree. Still think "bicycle smile" has to be the best post of the year, but I'll second this one for "quote of the year" :)

You've got it all wrong. Lance is dating Martha Stewart. ;-)
I think Armstrong's TDF run ends this year. Sheryl Crow will have him smoking and boozing it up in no time.
Can we get back to bike topics please?

yeah like who lance is riding this week. that's the sort of post i'd expect on... weight weenies.
Lance looks a lot like Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.
Anyone else see a resemblance?

Possibly true. But IMHO, she's the hottest over-40 lady out there.

I figure Lance is about to become like Ulric -- distracted by personal issues. Next, we'll hear about him crashing his car. And, guess what, even with him losing the tour next year, all of the sexiness and intrigue will raise the profile of biking in the U.S.
