Hi All,
Active Journeys (http://www.activejourneys.com)in Toronto has recently joined our distribution network.
Our three tours are accessible under the "Floating Adventures" Activities heading:
- Waterways of Montreal (http://www.activejourneys.com/tours.cfm?aid=37&tid=161)
- Montreal to Quebec City (http://www.activejourneys.com/tours.cfm?aid=37&tid=163) and
- Champlain Tour (http://www.activejourneys.com/tours.cfm?aid=37&tid=162).
To book, or for information, you can either contact an Active Journeys agent directly, or ask your favourite travel agent to call them up.
This year is a great time to bike to Quebec City, as the city is celebrating the 400th anniversary of its foundation (http://monquebec2008.sympatico.msn.ca/MonQuebec2008/)by Samuel de Champlain. Our ship will be moored right in the middle of the action, in the Old Port of Quebec City and we have timed our Bike & Boat Tours to Quebec City and back to coincide with some of the major celebration events.
Also, the Waterways of Montreal tour provides the best balance between a relaxed cycling discovery tour and a historical, natural and cultural exploration of a fascinating stretch of the St-Lawrence River, the rapids blocking the path upstream of Montreal and the network of canals that were built over two centuries to foster trade and the economic development of Canada west of Montreal.
Cheers,
Ron
