Road Cycling - I know Litespeeds are nice bikes but....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

You better hurry if you want in on this one, a little too rich for my blood...

Apparently a new bidder (no history) has bid for this and a mountain bike by the same seller (also without a history). Maybe the owner didn`t like the way the bidding was going...

UPDATE: I was wrong on the buyer... someone named bikewriter71 has the inside line on the Litespeed. I dont imagine the link will be around for much longer before eBay makes it invalid. bikewriter71 is the victim of ID theft according to the user history page.

You'll never get burned if you stick by the old adage - never pay over 7 figures for an Ultegra-spec'd bike. :D

Its obviously a scam, there is not bike for auction, and anyone who is not ebay savvy will fall into a trap like this. The issue lies in the fact that the over seas borrower will only take a wire transfer, or a personal check. Once that money is sent, good luck getting it back or finding out the ID of the person who has it, It's gone.

What the Buyer has done in this case is by bidding this thing up to 1,000,000 the guy who listed it is going to get one hell of an invoice from ebay. Pretty funny if you ask me.

Bikewriter did a good thing at the risk of a negative feedback. Now is an invoice only paid for a successful transaction (i.e. buyer actually paid, won't be the case here)? He did screw over the seller but then again you have to be a fool to buy an item for that much $$ from a seller that is not registered and has 0 transactions.
