I had a GREAT ride today after work. As some of you know, I just recently started riding seriously (after lurking on here since '01). I decided to try and tackle a couple of big hills (for me) today. I wasn't lighting fast up the hills by any means, but I made it up both without stopping! I was really proud of myself and had a silly grin on my face the whole way home!

Not a long ride by any means, but a good accomplishment for me anyway! :D
BTW- I averaged 13.6 mph (with a good downhill) ;)

Nice, Chris! And congrats! :beer: I love your enthusiasm and the first hills you make it up without stopping are always the best. Good job. :)

Nice. I don't remember the area, but Poway just south of 56 is pretty steep. You can also extend your ride from the southwest corner of 56 Poway ramp by hoping onto the SR-56 bike path. I used to park along Poway right after the ramp exit, and ride the bike path.
