A friend of mine has a special needs grandson. He is a sweet little boy and loves it when his grandpa pushes him in a jogging stroller. When I was making my tadpole my friend said he would like to buy or build a special bike he could ride his grandson on. Over the weekend my wife went to a community yard sale and found a Duet bicycle, which is made just for this need. It was in great shape. The lady said her daughter had outgrown it. It had 3 flat tires and looked like it hadn't been used much. She came home and we told my friend who went straight over and bought it. He sent me these pictures today of his Grandson on it. It made my day and my wifes. An added bonus is he got a great deal on it too.

That's a great bike. My only suggestion would be helmets for both rider and passenger (having suffered head injury myself).

I am amazed that such a specialized item was found at a garage sale. Great job. There certainly all sorts of bicycles and this is just one more wonderful reason that bikes are great.
