I thought I'd post these in the local group before having to go the shipping route. Anybody want these? They are free.
TAKEN - I have 5 spare 700 x 28-32 tubes from my hybrid that I no longer have a use for. 4 Forte, 1 Performance.
(Yes I found a 4 for 1 sale at some point.)

Ron, time to pay it forward w/ your old helmet... ;)
I have an FSA OS 115 90mm stem for 31.8mm bar and 1 1/8" steerer (I guess the standard on most road bikes now.) I think it's a 6*. If you're interested PM me.
It's used, scuffed up some on the logo so it'd be good for a beater/commuter bike.
Or if you have a shorter stem to trade I'd much rather do that. I'm trying to set up my wife on my old roadie and I need a shorter stem shorter than a 90mm. Maybe 65mm or so?
I also have a set of used old Keo PP357(?) clipless pedals and used red Delta cleats as well. Again, scuffed up but still very functional. Might be good for the old bike on the trainer or ?
Thanks! (and thanks ms. incredible for starting this thread!)

I actually need to find a 0 setback 27.2mm seat post or something with little setback as well, if anyone has one please PM me. Doesn't matter the material, not worried about weight. I just want my wife to be comfy and enjoy the ride.

Alright, let's kick this up a notch. [edit: Notch kicked. Bike taken.]
http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/645/zedbp2.jpg
This was the first bike of my adult life, and got me into cycling. It's not the highest-end bike, but it's a step above what you'd find at a department store. It became a commuter/hybrid for a while, and I'll throw in the Michelin TransWorld road tires I was using. Also included are a seat bag, a few tubes, a small pump, and a multitool, if I can find it.The good: It's in pretty good shape. Hasn't been abused. Only 1500 miles on it, if the computer is accurate (which I believe it to be, more or less). Brand new tires and Koolstop brake pads (less than 50 miles on each) and new grips (installed but never used).
The eh: The chain is newer than the bike, though it has some cosmetic surface rust from riding it in the snow a few months back. A few scuffs here and there, nothing too bad. Worst is some rash on the side of the saddle. Seems to shift well, and brakes very well, but the cables are original to the bike. Componentry isn't anything fancy (it's all sub-Deore), but it works. Plastic pedals. I can't speak for its off-road performance, as I've never really used it that way.
The bad: Nothing that I can think of, really.I built up my Surly, and haven't ridden this one more than a handful of times since. I converted it back into a mountain bike, but I just haven't gotten around to trying it out, so I think it's time to move on. It's a 2004 K2 Zed 1.0, 19" in size, appropriate for a rider from 5'9" to 6'1" or so, as I recall.
I'd be very happy if it went on to help get someone else into cycling, or let them dip their toe into mountain biking or commuting (with more appropriate tires for such an endeavour, of course. :)).

X136,
I am an assistant coach for Luther Burbank's Mountain Bike Team here in Sacramento. You probably have heard of the school if you've lived here for any length of time as being a rough place. Our team is built on 100% donations from the public since our kids don't have a dime for their own gear. Most of our bikes are courtesy of the Sacramento Police Dept. property yard. For most of our riders this is the only positive thing going in their lives. We're doing very well this year (currently 13th out of 25 teams in the NorCal league). Most of the teams we compete with are on the polar opposite side of the socioeconomic spectrum with top of the line everything. Sheesh! We finally got our team jerseys last week (extremely generic compared to Berkeley High and Los Gatos High <---One of their sponsors is Lamborghini for goodness sake!).
So, if you want that bike to go to a good home, I know a great local organization that would put it to use every single day. Keep it in mind. ;)

My second oldest daughter is gaining confidence riding on two wheels and is deserving of a lighter bike. So here's her old one. It's seen two daughters learn to ride on two wheels so it has good karma and is even in great condition considering.

Ok, come and get it... Mid eighties gray Scapin, that I started to strip/ paint, but lost interest. I need to get back to my guitars. I like New tech and no interest in Retro. Including some Campy/Suntor... built the bike up with parts laying around in the bike shop I worked at. Nice old wheelsmith wheels...bullet proof. In pieces, missing pieces. 59 cm...went to the moon and back on it/won my first race on it...needs home.

Redspoke,
I have two older mountain bikes (no suspension) that I have used for commuting, but I have since found the perfect bike (another older bike - love the old steel bikes!). Anywho, the two bikes are just sitting waiting for me to put them up on Craigslist, but I'd rather see them be put to good use. If you can use them, I'll be up in Davis this weekend (I'm in the SF Bay Area).
One is a Trek Antelope (I think it's an 820). The other is a Gary Fisher (I believe it's a Gitche Gumee). Both are in good shape (the Gary Fisher looks almost like new) with new street tires and tubes and various other new bits (some cables, shifters, seat, etc on one or the other).
I was considering Goodwill or Salvation Army, but I'd love it if you could use them.
I'll send you a PM, but drop me an email at lcoletto at yahoo.com and let me know.
