Seriously. The croutons will absorb the oil and vinegar and keep it from oozing out. The oil is to soften the wax, the vinegar is to help it separate from your ear. The mixture will then absorb into the crouton.

Stick a neti pot in one ear. Look in the mirror as you do so, so you can see the water flowing through your eyes and out the other ear.
