I've been riding a steel frame for a while and would like to get either a AL, TI or carbon frame. I am 5'9 and 190lbs. Some people say carbon might not be good for rider over 165lbs. I am actually thinking of the LOOK KG or Bianchi XL

Any suggestions or recommedations??

270lbs here and 4000+ miles on my Trek 5200 without a problem.

Any really good mfr. will post a suggested weight limit on their frames. There are several Sevens and Litespeeds that I wouldn't buy, because they are not suited for larger riders. Low frame weight sometimes comes with that particular compromise.

Yeah, as is usually the case, it's less about material and more about how the frame's built.
