Foo - P.D.Q. Bach - Not the best classical composer, but definitely the worst.

Any P.D.Q. Bach fans here? :)

The music is espically funny if you understand music theory and/or were classically trained. :roflmao:

I have a couple of CDs... I enjoy occasionally listening to them... definitely the funniest non-visual or vocal stuff I have ever encountered. Well, maybe other than a couple of Spike Jones' instrumentals.

I'm not a music expert, but I'd rather listen to PDQ's works than most opera, or any dissonant "classical" works.

I *think* we played one of his compositions in high school band. We needed to get a few new instruments for that one, notably a duck call and a pop gun.

Anybody read about the Really Terrible Orchestra (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/09/opinion/09mccallsmith.html)?

Fan? Shoot, I've played some of his music and went to see performances at a Carnegie a number of times. I loves me my "Iphegenia in Brooklyn". :D
