my sad story,
after losing about 100#s down to 185 i decided to train for the many perimiter races in arizona every year. 40 mile time trials, 4 or 5 times a week. 70 to 100 mi rides once a week, three days a week in the gym and couple of times a week in the pool. tracking my performance with a hrm and cyclocomputer, i made pretty good and steady progress. then all of a sudden, flat. then a deccline in average speed, max and av heart rate while riding and a reduction of my resting heart rate from mid to high 40's to mid to low 40's. immidiate fatigue when i started to ride and the absence of that uphoric sensation after the ride. i dont know if its related or not but dehydration symptoms (including chills, sweats and numb and pale hands) after even the lighest workout regardless of how much water i drank. i have an appointment with my gp and will get a referral to a sports medicine dr next week and will stay off my bike unttil back to normal.
i am sad
