Flaming Lips "Fight Test" is what i listen to warming up before hill climbs. "to lose i could accept/ but to surrender i just wept and regretted this moment". dig in and all that.
and i ride in a rabbit suit so it's fitting.

Story time: I got hooked on that song for some reason. Put it on loop on a cassette in my jeep. I was on my way back from a weekend of stuff in Anza Borrego.. no doors, no top. Bieng the smart person I am, I had planned for desert weather, took the short cut over the mtns through banner and julian.. I was trying to beat weather so I didn't stop to change. Shorts, sandles, a sweatshirt, towel over legs, and stocking cap, going throught a quiet mtn town (Julian) chattering.. singing "kill the rabit" to the tune of Ride of the Valkries at full volume at 2am.
I got some strange looks from the few people awake.

50 cent has his play on my "ghetto tr4x" playlist. but i only rock "P.I.M.P." and "In Da Club" since that playlist is all about top 40 trash! but hey, sometimes you gotta know the lyrics so you can use them as pop culture references in class.

Just got a the newest Rancid CD and the first song 'Indestructable' makes me want to go ride my mountain bike (SS of course) around and see if I can't miss some trees.
In DC you have to go with local old-skool hardcore heroes, Minor Threat. "Screaming at a Wall" usually gets me ready for a nice mellow ride.

I'm not a big rap fun, but I heard Ludacris's "Move *****" a few days ago and I thought it was pretty funny. Could qualify as a getting pumped up song.

I don't know about the best song ever...but lately I've been diggin's Dinosaur Jr's "Little Fury Things" and also been listening to Naked Raygun. Two of my favorite all timers...the disc's were getting dusty and I'm glad I pulled them out again.
