I'm looking for a HR monitor that will tell me what my HR was during every part of a ride. The one I have now just tells me avg. HR, max HR and allows me to set three timed "zones" where it'll tell me if I was below/in/above that zone. What good HR monitors will give me complete ride hr info?

thanks!

Are you looking for one that tells you while you are using it on the bike?
Or one that tells you when you are all done the ride?

Polar CS600 will tell you anything you are looking for.

One that tells me after the ride (i.e. upload to the computer).

The Garmin 50 does that. the main influencing factor in my purchase is the way it uploads to the pc. just get with 20 or 30 feet and the data is transferred without you doing anything. no wires to plug in. no app to start up manually. it uses ANT. i think the garmin 405 does also, but it costs a lot more. (note that the garmin 50 does NOT have GPS).

Cool, thanks. How accurate have you found it to be? I know that Polar tends to be quite a bit more accurate than most others but I've never heard about the garmin 50.

get a garmin forerunner 305
You can chart hr against speed, altitude, % grade, along with time in all the zones, which you can specify. You can click on any part of your ride, mile of your ride etc and see your avg hr at that point or period.

Look at the freeware program from zonefive called sporttracks. It's absolutely the most amazing, and imo, most powerful gps program for workout analysis out there.

Accuracy? Once I start sweating, or if I wet it properly at the start, it's great. I used to use an entry level Polar and I found that making the chest band TIGHT was key. Same with this one. Stands to reason. They need contact to work. Not to make too big a deal, but check how you transfer the data. One I read about (I believe it was Timex but I'm not sure) used SOUND!!!). ANT is sweet.
