From what I understand, it's a protest against motorists and they usually break all sorts of traffic laws in the process. Not my way of trying to earn respect from motorists, but if that's your thing then that's your thing.

I participated in one CM ride in LA a few years ago and it wasn't pleasant.

It's an excuse to party, covered by a thin veneer of political action, masquerading as anarchy.

What else are today's over-indulged and over-privileged youth gonna do? Better than shooting each other, I guess.

I'd rather they shoot each other and thin out the herd.

well....saw them on my way home last night, once again totally blocking the bike lane. seems hard to justify that yer out there saying that yer trying to enforce cyclists rights when you impede other cyclists....just sayin'

Haha...

Imagine a Los Angeles with so much bike traffic that this becomes a regular occurrence...

Would bike lane rage...one cyclist against another...ever happen ya think? :p

When I watch video of China the bike traffic looks kinda wild.

So how did you get around them? What did you do?

bike on bike....nah......i just rode through them with one foot out ready to go. not one of them got out of the way. real nice. most were pointing my way with bike lights on to....was seeing spots for another few blocks. the thing is, i had a feeling this would happen as it has on three other occasions. i dunno about other CM's but the guys in my barrio have no clue.....
