Went down to the lbs this a.m. and dropped off my Specialized Crossroads for their tent sale, I think it's in May. Got tired of walking around it every time I went to the head. Still riding the 7.5FX on the trainer but warmer weather, rain and wind are putting an end to this snow pack; snowed this a.m. though :(
He said he should have the 4300 in Thurs or Fri so I'll pay off the balance Friday and hopefully have my grocery getter next week; already saw some brave souls at the Post Office yesterday with their MT bikes while I dropped off my taxes, always on Fools Day.
I also got one of these: http://store.trekbikes.com/jump.jsp?itemID=174&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C35%2C187&iProductID=174&bShopOnline=0
I hope the link posts right, it's a long one, it's the trek trunk that has roll down panniers, I chose them for the 4300 (grocery getter) as opposed to just the real grocery getters, just thought they were just more flexible. I took the trek rack off the FX, decided I just wanted to use it as a mileage bike, trying to keep it pure lol.
I haven't decided on lights for the FX though, darn expensive stuff, although I would like something efficient, lightweight and powerfull (expensive.....ugh) I think I'll use the lights I had on the Crossroads for the 4300, nothing too fancy. Don't ask me what they are, they're in the storage area and I haven't yanked them out for this season to decide what to do with them as yet.
Now I'll have to spend any 'mad money' I can scrounge to deck out the 4300 with, yes, it's own air pump, saddle bag with tube, levers and patches, etc. etc.
Nope, it never ends :)
